Today John has spiked a fever and unfortunately his headaches continue to be bad. His platelet levels were low this morning leading him to have to receive another unit of platelets. The doctors are also making a few changes with his medicines to protect his kidneys from potential problems. The doctors have also increased the calories that he is receiving through his IV to help give him some strength while he doesn't eat. Johnny continues to be tired but seems to have some good moments where he can read his mail and watch a little bit of TV.
Let's continue to send our love, words of encouragement and prayers to John and the family through these challenging days!

Friends of ours, Jim & Sue Sonnefield will be at Riley Hospital serving breakfast at the Ronald McDonald house in the hospital on the 24th. If you are still at the hospital that morning, please join them. They would like to meet you. A year ago their daughter had open heart surgery at Riley and others served them meals. This is their opportunity to pay back that kindness. We continue to pray for all of you!
