John was back down at Riley yesterday (Monday, July 7th) to begin his next phase of treatment. His counts were at 3542 which was a good thing. This next phase of treatment is a combination of taking three different oral chemotherapy. Mondays seem to be his biggest day of the week in regards to how much he will have to take. Please be praying for John as each of these pills can bring on side effects. The side effects can include headaches, vomiting, mouth sores and can cause his counts to drop. The doctors also decided to keep John's pic line in until his next appointment on August 4th. In two weeks John will have a blood drawn to make sure the doses are correct and then if everything is good, he'll only have to go back down to the doctors once a month.
Lorena shared that she was able to visit with the Briles while they were at Riley. The Briles' family desperately need our prayers. Pray for strength, wisdom, rest and peace. Pray also that the Lord will touch Chrissy's body in a miraculous way!
